About Us
Founded by Brooke and Aaron Wright in 2016, One 17 Foundation was born from a vision to create a ripple effect of care for orphaned, underserved, and abused children. With the ambitious goal of funding 1,000 adoption stories by 2050, the foundation has already funded over 30 grants by 2023, helping numerous families grow through adoption.
In 2023, the Rains Family, close friends, and supporters of the Wrights' mission took up the mantle. Having completed their own family through adoption, they are deeply connected to our mission. Guided by their core values of generosity, hospitality, and justice, the Rains Family is dedicated to continuing the foundation's impactful work.
We have an ambitious goal to donate $1,000,000 to support vulnerable children globally by 2030. We strive to create a tight-knit community focused on funding both adoption and post-adoption resource grants. Our commitment extends beyond financial support; we are passionate about researching and providing education to ensure families and adoptees thrive post-adoption.
With a heart for storytelling, we share compelling adoption stories to inspire others to join the cause. Our work is driven by the belief that every child deserves a loving family and the support necessary to thrive.
